1987-1988: Universite Catholique de Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium: Medalled at Belgian University Championships 1987 and 1988 (distance freestyle)
1983-1986: Manchester University, Manchester, UK: Medalled at British University Championships 1984, 1985, and 1986 (distance freestyle)
1978-1983: University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario:
- 1983-1991: Held OWIAA (OUA) record in 200m freestyle
- 1983: Waterloo's Female Athlete of the Year, inducted into Waterloo's Hall of Fame
- 1979-1983: Medalled at OWIAA (now OUA) and CIAU (now CIS) Championships all five years in freestyle events (50m to 800m, plus relays)
- CIAU (CIS, U Sport) gold medals in 4x100FR (1979) and 400m free (1983)
